Mantrac COE logistics and ordering team have successfully completed a contract with Uganda National Road Authority (UNRA) just two days before the contract expiry date, moving Ground Engaging Tools (GET) all the way from Morton, USA to Uganda in just 10 days!

The contract to supply GET for various Caterpillar machines, worth $90,000, was due to expire, leaving the team under pressure to deliver. The challenge came with Cat availability with one part number and the required quantity of 415, which was only found available in Morton, USA, 2 calendar days before the contract expiry date. This meant the team had to order, supply, ship from Morton to Uganda via Dubai, clear transport and deliver within eight working days, otherwise the contract would be cancelled because of incomplete supply!

COE logistics managed to successfully deliver within time, shipping from Morton to Dubai within three days. The delivery was cleared in Dubai on the same day and was delivered to Uganda within the same week. It was then cleared and delivered to the customer on the same day of its arrival in Uganda.

With all hands on deck, they proved that with teamwork, good communication and dedication, anything is possible with Mantrac.
